Wow!

Has it really been March since my last update? Boy am I behind! So I still need to catch up on this recent season of Doctor Who as work didn't allow me time off to see anything other than the first three episodes. I really need to catch up before the beloved Christmas special. If any of you care to tell me where I can do so, that would be amazing.

So around March, I started a new photo project called Behind The Strip. It is basically a glimpse into the life of your favorite comic book heroes and such when they are not on the job. I have been working on a rather large, unfortunately expensive, collection this project alone including figures from Marvel, DC, Doctor Who, Star Wars, Star Trek, Dark Horse, etc... I'm hoping to get a kickstarter or some crowd source funding going as soon as I figure out how to not sound completely crazy.

Last quick point. So they came out with a new Star Wars trailer.  I am probably the only nerd alive that hasn't watched it yet. I'll post my opinion when I do. It looks like the next few days are going to be both busy and light for me work wise. I guess we will just have to see how well the wifi works.

Sherlock season 3 (possible spoilers)

I finally got a chance to watch the new Sherlock episodes a few weeks ago and...just..wow. I love how they integrated fan driven ideas about how he faked his death. Unless you wish to go the consiprancey rout and say  that most of those theories were planted through various internet outlets and message boards by the writers themselves just to keep the flame lit. I rather enjoy the thought of them actually paying attention to the fanbase. Now what are we going to talk about until they put out season 4?

Moriarty.

Moriarty, Moriarty, Moriarty.

First off, as a geek girl, I absolutely squeed when he and Sherlock kissed. I immediantly messegeMorisrd several of my fellow nerd girls, all of whom have been biting their toungs raw at this point, just...well...there were no real words to phrase it. One conversation went as this:

Me: Dude. Moriarty. That kiss...

Friend: I know!

Me: !!

Friend: HOW THE HELL HAS IT TAKEN YOU THIS LONG>???

Me: !!!!!

Ok, I'll stop girling out on that. The scenes with Molly, though. Come on. If she was in on it, I find it difficult to believe she would have gotten engaged to someone else, even if he was (or she made him) just like Sherlock. I think Molly probably molded the guy to be like him. Perhaps as a way to deal with the grief of thinking she lost him. I did enjoy seeing her in charge of the relationship for a change. It must hae been a little gratifing to the character to be followed around by an obiediant puppy instead of the reverse.

What almost made be shoot Dr. Pepper through my nose, though, was (can you guess?) Watson's moustash! I absolutely adore how they poked fun at him about it throughout the episode as well. Made my entire day.

Jameson now. More geek later,

I am truly terrible at this..

I haven't updated some November and deeply apologize for this. I worte several drafts of updates when I had no internet connection, but never posted any of them. Perhaps I can dredge up some of those unfinished backlogs and scatter them about, confusing all of you. Just pretend I have been traveling with the Doctor and the Tardis wifi router accidently feel in the pool during a rough landing.

I will, however, make a figiting attempt to make up for this lost time.

The DOCTOR WHO Christmas special. I found it to be lovely, although I do feel like there should have been more. It was hard enough to say goodbye to Matt Smith and I felt it just ended too quickly. Just recently during a conversation about Capaldi's unveiling, someone actually made me feel a bit incompetent. You see, I have never actually watched any of the webisodes. I'm not even sure whether or not I actually knew they existed. This strangers that were bonding with me over Whovian lore and theories were setting my brain ablaze with everything I had assumed (and then some) that have been tearing up the internets. All of these in between shows that apparently pull everything together.

WHY HAS NO ONE MENTIONED THIS TO ME BEFORE?????

Perhaps you have. My ears are usually full of whiskey.

I shared with this lovely couple my theory about how maybe John Hurt was actually the Eighth Doctor, just aged. It makes sense after seeing Eleven as an old man not long before he finally regenerated into Twelve...or is it Thirteen.... or is it One? Capaldi, either way. I thought I had a pretty damn good theory, especially since I remember reading that Moffat didn't originally intend on adding an extra Doctor in there. One of the previous Doctors had turned down a cameo appearance but everything had basically already been drawn out. I may have misread somewhere, or perhaps developed a theory over someone else's theory. Either way, I like my theory better, so pffft.

But what gets me is, after all of this buildup, all of this waiting to see whether Capaldi will stand up to our high standards of how we feel our legendary Doctor should be portrayed, they tell us that there won't be any new episodes until SEPTEMBER? WTF? Capaldi is apparently too busy with other projects he was previously committed to before he decided to accept the role.

Can someone please call him and let him know that there is NOTHING more important than the Doctor. We already waited what felt like FOREVER for the new Sherlock episodes (which I admit I still haven't watched yet but the next few days will be solely devoted to this) and now we have to wait AGAIN? BBC....guys...you are killing me. It is a slow death filled with pinterest and reddit theories, but death nonetheless.

On a side note and completely off topic, I heard that Harrison Ford has signed on for two or three more Indiana Jones movies. Harry, we love you, man, but please, PLEASE keep your shirt on. I want to keep the younger, tight body in my memory. Don't make me replace it. And, Steven Moffat, if you are reading this, please don't direct either of them. I'm not ready for that Dr. Indiana Jones to die yet.

Ok, more later. I promise to try and keep updates coming more often.
